Product Description

Cedryl Acetate Oil 50% is a diluted perfume solution containing 50% pure cedryl acetate dissolved in perfumery‑grade solvent. Pure cedryl acetate is obtained by acetylation of natural cedrol separated from cedarwood oil. This diluted grade avoids crystallization issues frequently seen with high‑purity cedryl acetate under cool storage.

The product is a colourless to pale‑yellow clear liquid. It delivers soft, smooth cedar‑woody scent with subtle sweet amber undertones, without the rough dry‑sharp character of crude cedarwood oil. It exhibits good chemical stability and alkali‑resistance, and miscible with most essential oils, absolutes and synthetic perfume materials. This 50% grade offers easier handling, dosing and blending for industrial fragrance compounding.

Retains the fixative property of cedryl acetate, stabilizes volatile top and middle notes and improves overall scent longevity on various substrates.

★ Alkali‑resistant Scent Modification

Maintains stable olfactory performance under alkaline conditions, suitable for high‑pH surfactant‑containing systems where many natural wood oils degrade easily.

★ Improved Handling Performance

Solvent‑diluted 50% grade prevents low‑temperature crystallization, simplifies weighing and liquid blending operations in fragrance workshop.

FAQ

Q1: What is Cedryl Acetate Oil 50%?
A1: It is a perfume‑grade solution containing 50% pure cedryl acetate dissolved in perfumery solvent, designed to eliminate crystallization trouble of high‑purity cedryl acetate.

Q2: How is this 50% grade produced?
A2: High‑purity cedryl acetate is fully dissolved in qualified perfumery solvent under controlled mixing conditions.

Q3: Can Cedryl Acetate Oil 50% be directly applied to skin?
A3: No. It is concentrated perfume solution. Dilution is mandatory before skin‑contact use. Skin patch test is recommended for cosmetic formulation.

Q4: Will this 50% material produce crystals at low temperature?
A4: Crystallization risk is largely eliminated compared with neat cedryl acetate under regular cold‑storage condition.

Q5: Which raw materials are ideal blending partners?
A5: It pairs excellently with sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, coumarin, and amber synthetics for fougère, woody and masculine‑style accords.

Q6: What should be noticed for formula dosage calculation?
A6: Only half of the weight is active cedryl acetate. Formulators need to multiply addition rate accordingly versus using 100% material.

Q7: Is Cedryl Acetate Oil 50% suitable for candle formulation?
A7: Yes, widely used for woody‑style candle scents. Pre‑test wax compatibility is suggested.

Q8: What is its shelf‑life requirement?
A8: 24 months for unopened goods under proper storage. Reseal promptly after sampling to minimise air contact.
